These terms apply when you book a tour with ENDO, run by 合同会社縁道 (ENDO LLC), 3-1-12 Higashikanmaki, Takatsuki, Osaka, Japan. By booking, you agree to them on behalf of everyone in your group. Details that differ between tours, such as the meeting point, what's included and when booking closes, are on each tour page.
Booking and payment
Walking tours are paid in full by card when you book, through our payment provider Stripe. Prices are per person in Japanese yen, and the price per person can depend on the size of your group, as shown on the tour page. If you view prices in another currency, they are estimates; your card provider sets the final amount.
Your booking is confirmed once payment is complete, and you'll receive a receipt by email. Each tour page shows how late you can book.
Cancellation by you
- At least 24 hours before the tour starts: full refund.
- Within 24 hours of the start, or if you don't show up: no refund.
- Exception: if you cancel because of severe weather or a natural disaster, you get a full refund even within 24 hours.
To cancel or change your date, email info@en-do.net or use our contact form. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take a few days to show them.
Cancellation by us
Tours go ahead in the rain. If we have to cancel a tour ourselves, for example because of dangerous weather, a natural disaster or a guide falling ill, we'll tell you as soon as we can and give you a full refund.
Running late
Please arrive at the meeting point a few minutes early. If you're running late, message us on WhatsApp at +81 80-6131-9052. Your guide waits about 5 minutes after the start time, or about 10 minutes if you've let us know you're on your way. After that the tour goes ahead without you, and it counts as a no-show.
On the tour
Each tour page lists what the price includes and what it doesn't. Entrance fees and transport fares not included in the price are paid by you on the day. Opening hours and access to temples, shrines and other sites are set by those sites, and occasionally change at short notice. If that happens, your guide will adjust the route.
Please follow your guide's instructions and the rules of the places you visit. Our tours involve walking, sometimes on stairs or uneven ground. If you have concerns about mobility or health, contact us before booking. We recommend travel insurance for your trip.
Motorcycle tours
Motorcycle tours are booked by inquiry, not online. When you contact us, we'll confirm the price, how and when to pay, the cancellation terms and the licence requirements in writing before you book.
Liability
We plan and run our tours with care. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that can't be limited under Japanese law. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by things outside our control, or by the acts of third parties such as transport operators or the sites you visit.
Law
These terms are governed by Japanese law. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
